Workshops are back!

Tuesday, July 06, 2010 | Comments (0)

I am happy to announce that Falls Church City Television will be holding two production workshops in the month of July. This is a great opportunity to obtain the skills necessary for producing programming at FCC-TV, whether it is for yourself or for those interested in helping you produce your program.

The first workshop will be for Studio Production and will take place on Saturday, July 24th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The second workshop will be for Field Production and will be on Saturday, July 31st from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. as well.

The Studio Production workshop will feature a basic overview of television production in a studio setting. Subjects include: lighting; studio camera operation; audio; directing; technical directing; and on-air talent.

The Field Production workshop will feature a basic overview of television production in remote locations. Subjects include: lighting in the field; audio; field camera operation; on-camera reporting; storytelling; and tripod use.

There are a limited number of spaces for each workshop. Should there be enough interest, however, we will schedule more workshops in August.

There are also a few changes to the workshops that you will need to take note of.

First, the fee for the workshops has increased to $50 for members and $60 for non-members. We accept cash and/or checks made out to FCCAC (Falls Church Cable Access Corporation).

Second, fees will be due when you sign up for the workshop. Spots cannot be held for individuals until they have paid the appropriate fee.

If you have any questions, you can email me (palmrosem@fccps.org) or call me (703-248-5692) anytime. I happy to answer any and all questions.

Feel free to pass this information along to friends and neighbors. And I look forward to your help in making FCC-TV grow.

Thanks,
Michael Palmrose
